Seriously? It's December?

I can't believe it's already December! When did that happen? Our wedding date is quickly approaching, and I haven't done nearly enough in preparation. Goodness...

Things have been pretty great lately. We've been so incredibly blessed. We have the most wonderful friends, family, and jobs. Cal's absolutely loving his job at MediaOne of Utah, and I'm enjoying my job (most days) as Finance Director for ASUU -- the student government on campus at the U. We're crazy busy, but wouldn't have it any other way. It definitely makes us enjoy the time that we have together.

Thanksgiving was the most amazing weekend. It was so great being able to spend so much time with Cal all weekend. Also, my best friend from Canada, Alex Jaques, flew into town to help out with wedding stuff/meet Cal. It was SO fun. A weekend of shopping, eating, chick flicks, and talking until 2am does the soul good. To add to the fun, the three of us got to go out to lunch with Cal's best friends, TJ and Aaron. Definitely a good time.

My family is coming into town in a couple of weeks to spend the holidays in the good old USA. I have mixed feelings. Usually I get to go home (England -- where ever their current location is is where I consider home), but this holiday season my dad decided that he wanted to come for some R&R at the new place my parents bought in St. George, Utah. Don't get me wrong, I love the house, but there are some draw backs with the fam celebrating Christmas here... The main one being that I have to share my parents and brothers with my extended family. I LOVE my extended family, but I get slightly selfish when it comes to sharing the limited time I have with my immediate family. I know... I've always struggled with sharing. Even as a child (ask Nate). Nonetheless, it's going to be fantastic holiday!

Well, I should probably go hit the books. It is that wonderful time of year -- finals. Good thing I like exams. Seriously, I do. And I love studying. Go ahead... Call me a nerd. I'm proud of it.

Enjoy the freezing weather! <3

  1. Hey you cute girl! I didn't know you started up a blog (I found it on Brian & Diana's)! I love reading your posts and hearing what you are up to! I hope you get to spend A LOT of time with your family. Don't worry about selfishly wanting them all to yourselves. I totally understand! Although, I would LOVE to see you guys. Krisi and I were thinking about doing a little cousins thing (if you have any time)! Love ya!
