As of Late

Well, there have been some changes going on in our household... The only thing constant is change, right?

1. We MOVED! Crazy, I know. We're now up Emigration (not just at the mouth of it) and we love it! We moved during finals week, which was brutal and involved some (rare) tears on my part, but somehow, we survived.

(Screen shot to make it less identifiable. Sorry. Blog isn't private and I'm paranoid.)

(Our new kitchen! Still messy because I took it as we were unpacking, but we love it!)

2. Kola, the family chocolate lab moved here. The names he responds to: Choco Pig, Kola Bear, K Dog, Baby, Pumpkin, Grass Eater.

3. I finished my spring semester of graduate school. It was intense, but so rewarding. I already sincerely miss my clients.

(I wouldn't have made it through without the husband or my AMAZING study buddies/school friends. They make graduate school fun.)

4. Cal plays basketball nearly everyday on the Sport's Court we have out back at our new place. He and Kola are good buddies.

5. I got an externship at the University of Utah Hospital in Acute. I am thrilled. I have two medical externships - one in acute and one in rehab - which is amazing. I am so lucky. I want a third (it's unconventional to do three, but it's allowed and i want/need more experience). I'll keep you posted on if I get the third one I want. If I don't, then I'll just be doing two :)

6. We have been hanging out with friends lots. It has been glorious.

(Katie flew in and we all got together. Love all these people.)

(AMAZING Sweet Tooth Fairy cupcakes Leah brought us. Oh my word. I highly recommend the red velvet cup cake. Divine.)

(Some of my favorite people. Especially the guy in the blue.)

7. I got bangs! Crazy. I know. I love them... Although as my wonderful new client said, they are maintenance. Totally worth it though. Thoughts on them? Only comment if you like them though. Hah.

(Totally took a photo of my hair in my car immediately after I cut it. I am a dork and I really did take a photo of myself in my car. In my defense, I then sent it to Cal/my mom/a few friends to get their opinions.)

8. My thesis prospectus was defended and passed. Wooot! One of the hardest things I've ever done in my life. My advice? If you don't know the answer to something, admit it. You'll be admired for your honesty. Besides, I only had to say it twice, which is quite impressive. (I hate it when you're backed into corners! Especially about something that's your baby - aka, my thesis.)

Stay tuned for more changes.... They are bound to happen.
