Well, we do. They live downstairs. Let's just say the past year has been interesting.
A young married couple lives below us. We used to see them parking their cars on occasion, and I'd always smile and say hello.
All I got in return was the stink eye.
Well, this summer the "war" began. I was playing my piano (just some nice Beethoven on a Saturday afternoon...) when I heard this thumping.
I stopped playing. The thumping stopped.
So I began to play again. Lo and behold, the thumping started again.
So, I did what any girl would do when she's stressed out with school. I played louder. (It helps get rid of stress, I swear.)
Fast forward to a few weeks later when we were playing Wii with some friends around 8pm. Thumping started again.
Whaaaaaat?
Let's not forget the awkward encounter we had with the man who lives downstairs coming UP to our CONDO and attempting to yell at my mom. Hah. That went well. (You might think my mom is nice - and she is - but beware of making her mad. If you go after her kids, she will go after you.)
So now whenever the sweet (insert sarcasm) couple downstairs feels like being particularly obnoxious, they turn up their music and bass super loud. It literally shakes our floor... And we don't live in poorly built apartments, we live in super nice condos.
Our neighbors no longer need to try to be obnoxious. They recently bought a dog, and it's obnoxious 24/7. It's this yappy little white fur ball that barks its face off all the time. Today while CBF was napping and I was doing homework, all it did for 90 minutes was bark, and bark, and bark. (In fact, I saw the woman walking with the dog up the stairs the other day. That's how I know for sure it's hers. Of course it was yapping. It took everything I had not to smack it. Hard.)
Don't get me wrong, I like dogs. And I like all of our other neighbors. In fact, I adore all of our other neighbors.
But the people downstairs? Ummm... No.

This rant was brought to you by sleep deprivation, extreme agitation, and overall exhaustedness (is that a word?). I promise I'm a nice person, and I don't ordinarily want to smack dogs, I usually love dogs. See my previous post. I just do not care for that dog, or those people.
Does that make me a bad person?

ewww... they just don't stop, do they?! our neighbors are quickly becoming THAT kind. they have 3 motocross bikes and 2 huge trucks that they feel the need to fix in the driveway every weekend!
ReplyDeleteHave I told you yet that I adore your picture and blog title? oh gosh i just love it so much!!
ReplyDeleteBut as for hating neighbors. I dislike the boys who live below me very much! Lets just say we have been threatened multiple times by the lovely gents. They even will bring up a gun, and wear there military get up to scare us. Of course we just burst into laughter after they leave, but definitely not a fan of those below.
