1. I'm due for a phone upgrade. Should I go iPhone?
2. We have a cute little apartment reserved in IL, but it doesn't have washer/dryer hook up. We have a washer/dryer from my parents if we want one. How important is having your own washer/dryer?
3. Should I make the dive and get a Pinterest account?
4. How much value would you place of not having to drive a Uhaul/Budget truck across the country while simultaneously towing a car? $200? $500?
5. Would we be crazy if we got two puppies at the same time from the same litter? (Okay, okay, I know this one IS crazy.)
My thoughts:
ReplyDelete1. My husband Loves his iPhone, but if you go iPhone - you don't go back. Just sayin.
2. Your own washer and dryer is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Truly. Do anything you can to work it out to have them. Laundromats are terrifying to anyone slightly OCD.
3. YES!!!! There's no question on this one. Plus, you gotta follow my pin board.
4. I'd say don't tow the car - and it'd be worth shipping it to me (prob like $800).
5. The more puppies, the merrier... or messier. :)
6. Yes - we MUST hang out please?!?! :D I'm open any day after 5 and weekends, just let me know!

ReplyDelete1. Spence has an iPhone and I love it and use it for everything but a phone. There are just so many apps that work so well on it.
2. The only time I didn't have my own washer was when I was in D.C. and let me tell ya...it was a pain in the butt! I already hate doing laundry and having to make the extra effort to go somewhere to do it was awful. But if it is a super sweet apartment then...maybe its worth it?
3. Aww pinterest. Well I seriously love the ideas on there and it helps me come up with fun new things to cook as well. No harm getting one anyway. Some people get addicted and go crazy, but good thing that is totally not you, so I'd for sure get one.
4. Ummm never moved with a car so can't help ya there
5. One puppy scares me...but you'd be so ready for twins after it!

ReplyDelete1. Yes - the iPhone is worth it. I wanted it not to be, so I could quit it and save money. But it's so worth it. And the simplicity of the iPhone as compared to an Android is also worth it.
2. I haven't have a washer/dryer since I've been married! But we do have it in the building. I'd calculate costs. How much would it be in IL if you get lazy and want to send things out? In NYC it was worth just stocking up on a ton more g's, and then either sending things out to get washed or heading down to the basement (that is the nice thing about NYC - w/d's are in the basement) and doing your long-overdue load of laundry.
3. Pinterest. It's exciting for awhile, then no longer so exciting. I don't get on it that often. BUT it's fabulous for having a handy dandy place to keep recipes and other things you like on the internet.
4. I'd probably still do the u-haul if it's not longer than a day or two trip. But if it'd only save me say, 1,000 then that answer might change!

ReplyDelete2. I have lived in a lot of places without a washer and dryer including currently and it sucks!!! Our last place that did have one was a dream. Laundromats are just disgusting! Luckily we can use my parents now but yes try to have a washer for sure!
3. Yes get a pinterest! Seriously all of our new favorite recipes came from there!
4. Deriving to ca with a budget truck sucked. The gas cost a fortune!! We ended up driving our car instead of towing it though because it was cheaper. Honestly just go for what's cheapest.
5. I think you should get 5 puppies :)

2. I'm sure you've done your math and opportunity cost analysis (hehe NERD). And if your clothes get dirty...just buy new ones :D Nordy's ships for FREE.
3. I tried Pinterest in beta version...but I didn't think get the point? Actually, I still don't get it.
4. Knowing you....don't drive a U-Haul...if you do, I will arm Cal with Chex Mix.

2. Still undecided. Looking into other places, but we're still really liking the location/price/size of our other one.
3. I'm going to take the plunge and give Pinterest a try.
4. Still looking into this, but the ideal of driving a Uhaul kind of makes me want to die.
5. So far we have one for sure (Whit). My parents are trying Whit's brother in two weeks to see how he gets along with Kola (parents' current dog). If Kola hates him, then Cal and I will buy Whit's brother, too!
